Helped food companies analyze, interpret and raise awareness about the Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA) of 2011.
Continuing to provide numerous lectures and deliver invited presentations on FSMA.
Organized and lead food companies to respond to new policy concepts and proposals developing from FSMA.
Participated in FDA public meetings on FSMA and spoke for the industry of the developing regulations.
Presented concepts on implementation initiatives, like a tool box and check list approach.
Along with industry partners, constructed a “Hazard Analysis Tool Box” and a “Food Safety Plan Check List” to assist small to mid-sized companies in the implementation phase of FSMA.
Currently developing these FSMA implementation concepts into teaching and training instruments for use as instructional approaches and materials for industry educational purposes.
Wrote and published a guidebook on FSMA Rules and Food Safety Systems for small businesses.
